How to Handle URL Pasting Behavior on Microsoft Edge

In Windows 10, the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge has a new feature called Friendly URLs that changes the default behavior of copying and pasting links on websites and apps. Instead of pasting a link in plain text, the new default converts the long web address to a short hyperlink with the website title, making the web address shorter, clearer, and easier to understand.

While this approach makes it easy to embed links into documents or web applications and for others to understand, the implementation is not for everyone. This adds confusion because many people still prefer pasting long links with special letters, numbers and symbols, and now all of a sudden pasting web addresses looks totally different. Additionally, some collage destinations do not support the new format, making the experience inconsistent.
