We recently announced that Joju George is playing in a new movie called Peace. Filming, which started last month, is going smoothly in Thodupuzha. Ernakulam is another place. The directors shoot the film according to two schedules.
Newbie Sanfeer K directs a screenplay co-written by Safar Sanal and Ramesh Girija, and an ensemble cast featuring Asha Sarath, Siddique, Shalu Raheem, Aditi Ravi, Vijilesh, Mamukkoya and Sudani from Nigeria-famed Unni Nair.
Joju appears in a brand new avatar in the film, as a delivery guy named Carlos. A photo of him doing a stunt on a bicycle went viral recently. Peace revolves around a series of events that occur in Carlos’ life. Speaking to us, Sanfeer calls Peace a hyperlink feature with several equally important characters.
“It’s a satirical comedy about a struggling group of characters in all age groups,” says the filmmaker. “I don’t think anyone has tried something like this in Malayalam before.” Sanfeer, who previously worked as a scientist, adds that the narrative structure is similar to that of Super Deluxe, Andhadhun, and Ludo. “There are several characters and stories, all of which are related in one way or another.
It’s an experimental approach to storytelling, and because of that, we’re keeping some things a secret for now. The music and background music are by Samson Kottoor. Shameer Gibran turns on the camera as Noufal Abdullah climbs up. Jubair Mohammed works on music.
Peace is on Joju’s list of upcoming projects, which also includes Nayattu by Martin Prakkat, Pada by Kamal KM, Churuli by Lijo Jose Pellissery, and Thuramukham by Rajeev Ravi. He also plays an important character alongside Mammootty in political drama One and in Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming project Jagame Thandhiram opposite Dhanush.
